How do I install Qustodio on an Android device?

 

Before installing Qustodio on an Android device, choose one of the following options:


I have an account

Repeat the following steps for each Android device your child uses. Downloading and installing Qustodio takes about ten minutes.

1. Open Google Play and search for Qustodio or click this link:  
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.qustodio.qustodioapp

2. Tap the Qustodio app.

3. Tap Install.

4. Open the Qustodio app.

5. Tap I have an account.

6. Read the Terms and Conditions carefully and tap Accept All to continue.



7. Enter your email address and password and tap Log in.

8. Choose Kid’s device.

9. Enter a name for the device and click Next.

Tip. Choose a name that obviously links to this specific device, such as Android HTC if the device is branded HTC.

10. Choose who will use the device.

11. When prompted to activate accessibility, choose Activate Now.

12. Tap Qustodio.

13. Toggle accessibility on.

14. When prompted to activate user permissions, choose Activate now.

15. Next, you must authorize Qustodio to access several functions on your device. Please note these functions are required for Qustodio to fully protect the Android device. Tap Allow.

16. Tap Allow.

17. Tap Allow.



18. Tap Allow.



19. When prompted to activate uninstall protection, tap Activate now.

20. Tap Activate.

21. Make sure no Battery Saving options that may affect Qustodio are enabled. Check here for more information.

Congratulations! You have succesfully installed Qustodio.
 

I'm new to Qustodio

1. Open Google Play and search for Qustodio or click this link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.qustodio.qustodioapp

2. Tap the Qustodio app.

3. Tap Install.

4. Open the Qustodio app.

5. Tap I’m new to Qustodio.

6. Read the Terms and Conditions carefully and tap Accept All to continue.



7. Enter your name and email address and tap Next.

Qustodio will send you an email to activate the account. Protection will not be active on the device until you read the email and confirm your account.

8. Enter your password twice and click Next.

9. Select whether the device is to be used by you (parent's device) or your child (kid's device).



10. Enter a name for the device.

Tip. Choose a name that obviously and visibly links to this specific device, such as Android HTC if the device is branded HTC.

11. Enter your child’s name, year of birth, and gender.

12. Choose an avatar for your child.

13. When prompted to activate accessibility, tap Activate now.



14. Tap Qustodio.

15. Toggle accessibility on.



16. When prompted to use Qustodio, tap OK.

17. When prompted to activate user permissions, tap Activate now.

18. Next, you must authorize Qustodio to access several functions on your device. Please note these functions are required for Qustodio to fully protect the Android device. Tap Allow.

19. Tap Allow.

I want to install the Parents' App

1. Go to Google Play and download the Qustodio Parents' App onto your Android device.

2. If you have an account, choose I have an account and log in to your account. Otherwise, create an account by following the steps in the I'm new to Qustodio section of this article.

3. Choose Parent’s device.

4. Tap I understand.

5. Carefully read the instructions provided.
