Launched today! A new Qustodio app to protect kids on iPhone, iPad and iPod!

Great news, Parents! Today we launched a brand new free app in Apple’s App Store for protecting kids’ iOS devices. The app is called Qustodio Parental Control for iPhone and iPad, and it finally brings many of Qustodio’s great supervision features to iOS including web filtering, app monitoring and internet time limits. Grab your child’s device and visit https://www.qustodio.com/iOS to get set up in about 3 mins.

What’s so different about new Qustodio? Until now, most protection for iOS has been focused on web browsing only. But these days kids don’t spend anywhere near as much time browsing as they do using apps. So we had to build a new technology to help parents monitor kids’ use of apps and help block the bad ones. With new Qustodio for iOS parents have this control, and they also get control over the entire internet connection of the device.

What specifically does new Qustodio Parental Control for iPad, iPhone and iPod allow you to do as a parent? Well, three very important things:

1. Safe Browsing in Safari: As a parent you no longer need to install a special browser on your child’s device in order to monitor and protect web browsing. New Qustodio can monitor and block inappropriate content and report on search activity in Safari.

2. Internet Lockdown / Internet Time Limits: Now you can control the entire internet connection of your child’s iOS device. Time for bed? Set a time schedule in the Family Portal to turn the internet connection completely off. Want to limit access to 2 hours a day: Log in to the Family Portal and set a time quota.

3. App Monitoring or Blocking: Want to block apps or set time limits for the Facebook app, Messenger, Whatsapp, Instagram or Kik? New Qustodio supports a growing number of hyperconnected apps that you can monitor or block on iOS.

Setup is simple. On your kid’s iPhone, iPad or iPod (you must be running iOS 7 and up), open the link https://www.qustodio.com/iOS from a web browser and we’ll guide you to the App Store. After downloading the free app, setup takes less than 3 minutes. When you set up the app you’ll also install an Apple profile on the device in order to be able to monitor internet traffic using Qustodio. This is completely normal. We’ll send you easy uninstall instructions by email when you install so you can also uninstall whenever you’d like.

As a Parent, you can view your child’s iOS device activity by logging into the Qustodio Family Portal from any web browser. You can also set up any rules for the device there.

### Free vs. Premium what’s the difference?
Any Qustodio Family account allows you to monitor up to 1 device completely free (that means you can monitor iOS, Android, Kindle, Windows or Mac). For up to 5 devices or more, we offer Qustodio Premium. Qustodio Premium also offers more features on iOS devices, like app blocking. It also offers more features on our other supported platforms. You can see some of those differences here.
