Qustodio publishes security fix for Windows component vulnerability

Today we published an important security update for the Windows version of Qustodio. This update has already been included in all new downloads of Qustodio for Windows and will be progressively rolled out to our existing Qustodio for Windows user base automatically over the next few days. No user intervention will be required.

The update addresses a security vulnerability that could make users of Qustodio for Windows more susceptible to a phishing attack. More information on the vulnerability is available in our blog post of Feb 21st.

In order to further protect our users, Qustodio will also roll out a new feature over the next two weeks to give users more control over what sites Qustodio can or cannot monitor. More specifically, in the Family Portal, users of all versions of Qustodio will soon be able to configure an arbitrary set of websites for Qustodio to completely ignore if visited. This means that Qustodio will not report any web activity and the user disables Qustodio inspection on those specific websites. This is in addition to the existing preconfigured list of popular banking sites that Qustodio does not monitor or inspect.
