Twitter’s Vine Not for Children After All

Twitter’s micro-video app upped its age restriction from 12+ to 17+ after some users reported accessing mature content on the platform, including sexually-explicit images. Not everyone is satisfied with this supposed solution, however. Donna Rice Hughes, President and CEO of Enough is Enough, for instance told NPR that the app still poses dangers to children.

Although users do have to enter their birthday, there’s nothing keeping them from falsifying it to gain access to the app. Hughes said that extra security measures should be implemented such as requiring a credit card for age verification purposes.
